UK Jigsaw Provider Since 2008
From being traders themselves, to running our own business, Saxton Blades have been providing jigsaw blades since 2008, ensuring we know the market, and we cater for it. Our goal has always been high-quality tools that are effective and reliable for our customers.
Our jigsaw blades are designed to ensure your curved cuts are clean and accurate. We know the struggle of splintered materials and slightly off-cuts, that’s why our jigsaw blades are designed to reduce flexibility and ensure a clean finish every time. Our blades are constructed with longevity, meaning that your cuts aren’t just good the first time, but also the 100th.
Wide Range of Jigsaw Blades
We stock a varied collection of jigsaw blades, ensuring that no matter what you’re cutting, we have a suitable blade. From Laminate jigsaw blades to metal jigsaw blades, whatever you’re cutting, we have a blade that’s right for you. Whether it’s reducing blade switching or getting a blade for a significantly thicker project, Saxton Blades has a solution.
Wood Jigsaw Blades
Our wood-cutting jigsaw blades are High Carbon Steel, HCS. They are relatively flexible and suitable for curved cuts in soft materials like wood. The flexibility reduces the stress and likelihood of snapping, while still being a sharp edge that’s effective. Our wood jigsaw blades are generally less expensive than other blades, making them a reliable choice for general woodwork:
- T101B Jigsaw Blade – General-purpose wood cutting.
- T111C Jigsaw Blade – For fast, coarse cuts in wood.
- T144D Jigsaw Blade – For clean and fast cuts in wood.
- T234X Jigsaw Blade – For fast, straight cuts in thick wood.
Clean Wood Jigsaw Blades
Our clean wood jigsaw blades are designed with more teeth per inch, TPI, resulting in a finer cut with less tear out and splintering. They feature reverse tooth patterns, as well as being ground to a sharp point with a specific set for a cleaner kerf.
- T101AO Jigsaw Blade – Designed for very clean, fine cuts in wood.
- T101BR Jigsaw Blade – Reverse tooth pattern for splinter-free cuts on the top surface of the material.
Laminate Jigsaw Blades
Our laminate jigsaw blades feature a high tooth hardness, ensuring the ability to cut through hard, abrasive surfaces of laminate without dulling quickly. As well as featuring reverse tooth geometry for a cleaner finish, these blades are bi-metal, combining toughness with longevity.
- T101BF Laminate Jigsaw Blade – Specifically designed for clean cuts in laminate flooring and worktops.
Metal Jigsaw Blades
The metal jigsaw blade collection features HSS, which is significantly harder than HCS, allowing it to cut through metals like aluminium, copper, and even steel without dulling quickly. These blades are designed to withstand heat as well as being designed with bi-metal to make them less likely to break when cutting under stress.
- T118EF Jigsaw Blades – For fine cuts in thin metal.
- T118G Jigsaw Blade – For medium-thickness metal.
Wood and Metal Jigsaw Blades
Combining HCS and HSS for our wood and metal jigsaw blades allows these blades to handle nails in wood, as well as the materials separately, reducing the need to switch blades. The Bi-metal construction provides the necessary strength and flexibility to withstand the cutting demands of both materials.
- T301CDF Jigsaw Blade – Designed for cutting both wood and metal.
- T345XF Jigsaw Blade – For fast cuts in wood and metal
Extra Long Jigsaw Blades For Thick Materials
Our extra-long jigsaw blades allow our customers to cut through significantly thicker pieces of material that a standard blade cannot handle. The longer blade provides more stability during the cut, reducing the blade flexing and improving accuracy.
- T744D 178mm Extra Long Jigsaw Blade – Extra-long blade designed for cutting very thick wood or other materials.
- T344D 152mm Long Jigsaw Blade – Long blade for thicker wood.

Jigsaw Blades FAQ
What does TPI mean?
TPI stands for teeth per inch. A higher TPI means a finer, smoother cut, usually used for thinner materials; a lower TPI means larger teeth that remove material quicker, perfect for thicker material and fats, rough cuts.
What’s the difference between HCS and HSS jigsaw blades?
HCS is high carbon steel, it is more flexible and suitable for softer materials. Whereas HSS is high-speed steel, the blades are harder and more heat resistant, better for harder materials.
What does the ‘R’ in a blade name like T101BR indicate?
The R signifies a reverse tooth pattern. Blades with reversed tooth patterns cut on the downstroke, which pulls the material upwards to provide a cleaner top finish.
